Who We Are

CTC is a home for Christian therapists to receive mutual support, so that we can fulfill our calling to bring God’s healing to those who need it most. Our mission is to break down barriers to mental health by equipping Christian therapists, resourcing churches, and collaborating with local Christian ministries to bring effective therapy to underserved populations.

A handful of us started meeting virtually during the pandemic in 2021, with a desire to build a local directory and community of Christian therapists who can support and journey with each other. In 2022, God led us to join forces with the nonprofit DeoWorks, which shares a similar desire to connect and accelerate Christians to fulfill their callings. We’re excited to see where God leads!

Our Projects

Our Free Directory

Our goal is to create an easy and comprehensive hub of mental health resources for Christians, starting with the San Francisco Bay Area. When churches need care for members in pain, we hope our directory can quickly connect them to a wide breadth of Christian therapists who are available and trained to help.

Our Meetings

We are building a regular gathering for Christian therapists in the Bay Area to meet, collaborate, and receive mutual support. If you are a Christian therapist, you are welcome to attend!

Our Values

Christ

We are mental health professionals who identify as followers of Christ. We affirm the Nicene Creed, an ecumenical statement of faith accepted by Catholic, Protestant, and Eastern Orthodox churches throughout the centuries.

Respect

We recognize that there is a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, convictions, and needs within the church and agree to respect our differences.

Collaboration

We strive to collaborate with each other and with other Christian ministries, recognizing that we each have unique gifts but are all part of one Body of Christ.

Growth

We are on a journey of growth together and know that we all will make mistakes. We aim to be a community where it is safe to try new things and where we are quick to extend grace to one another. We also aim to learn from our mistakes and to pursue excellence and ethical practices in the services we provide.

Service

We believe that we are called to love our neighbors, especially the most vulnerable. We strive to empower each other to better serve populations that are currently underserved.

Support

We believe that service is most effective from a place of wholeness and wellness. We believe that workmen deserve their wages; and thus we seek to help each other achieve adequate support spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially to fulfill God’s calling.
